Shaping the future through the implementation of new technology is a key focus for the Reefer Trailer Centre and that has formed the theme of our stand at this years show. We have a one-off, specially designed Chereau fridge trailer that is designed to reduce CO2 emissions. The key features of this trailer include:

• Goodyear Fuelmax tyres
• Alloy wheels
• Front lift axle
• HFO insulation – 8% more efficient and now Chereau’s standard insulation
• Aerotop – offers savings of 0.3 Litres per 100km covered
• Internal sliding bulkhead door for part loads
• EVO Chassis which creates a 233kg weight saving

BPW and Thermo King’s EPower/Advancer system uses a regenerative axle to power the fridge unit. This system has some key advantages over others in the marketplace, as the axle isn’t engaged 100% of the running time as below:

• Generators don’t engage until it reaches 15kmh
• Disengages when it senses it’s going uphill
• Disengages when the battery is charged

This increases fuel efficiency which in turn makes this a more economical system so as the slogan says, “Don’t be a drag, be smart!”

The system is available on both fully electric and hybrid refrigeration systems and also comes with 2 Years FOC tracking and telematics supplied with all applications.

In addition to the Chereau, we also have a full pharmaceutical spec SOR fridge trailer.
